I wrote this song back in 1998 to commemorate the 1798 rebellion. It tells the story of how our people had to fashion an army together from ordinary folk, and weapons from whatever they could get their hands on. The famous 'Pike' being such a weapon.
Our people almost managed to beat a well trained & kitted out british army, but alas, it was not to be.
